I throw my eyes into starlight

I throw my eyes into starlight tonight
Wooden benches, glasses half full
Legs twitching, writhing
Upon impatience
Of hour glasses’ affairs
That speed my conscience
Into fancies; thrice blessed
My youthful friend
Speaks all tongues wagging
Into ecstasy eternal
This May is a fearful dog
All curses that validate the time
And place that we were not in accord
Fitfully scorning our manhood
The bitter scorn of being alive
To live the life of man
Is a cruel dream
But I play on my visions
Gifting it as a cloud
To travel my friends
To dreamscapes I invented
If sparrows could grasp
The sound they priest
Like clergy masked in robes
On bended knee
Is like this aerial night
All streaming of greens and hornets
Unsafe to walk alone
Because the nights gets ever so darker
And I have not my raincoat
To brave the memories
That shoot like shards
Piercing my innards
But women are weaving
Souls entwined with blood
That drips down from coyotes
Of the sky
A great howling has occurred
Splitting hat from hair
The mule from the socket
All good things from
The crushing darkness
And I spend evenings by dim light
Pouring of pages spilled from my veins
To investigate the horror walls
Breathing the murder
Lined inside prayer books
You kept inside your purse
I dissolve inside you
And speak silences
You cannot refute
These aging blocks
That document the time
Music flowing through the cracks
Angel a glowing spreading divinity
To bask unabashed
The mourning shall commence
Once the dwindling stops
Among stars, ships, and banquet halls
To hear the stifling of dead children
Trapped among their hopes
To cradle themselves in safety
Of their failures
But there’s the promise
Like a ring, wrapped in satin
At the bottom of a dusty well
Where once so glimmering walls
Rough strewn dirt surfaces
In it is a tiny glisten
Waiting for a tenderness
That spews like madness
And I am in a catacomb
Faith truly is a dying breed
But I keep my secrets
Safe inside demon-less crevices
And shake my bones
And fall down in exhaustion
Full of fever
Dreaming of a dawning day
