I want the one

(that makes my soul sing)

swallow myself every time I see your face
Words begin to form
And die in their birth
I have not talents that other boys possess
Im scared and frightened and unsure
About everything before my face
But I know one sure thing
Is that you light my being
Giving me a word that springs
Life into flowers full of blossom
When your image graces me
I flutter, I close off
Because I’m terrified of you
Your power of me
I’m not the man people think i am
You speak beautiful words to me
Without the sense of how it glitters
In the sunset of my brain
And I wish just once I could have courage
But I’m a fickle-dandy boy
Lost in his head
Wishing I could be with the one
I dream about
Whose brushes excite my nerves
And yet I am afraid
Because I want the one that makes my soul sing
