What is a Dream
What is a Dream but heart ache in the rain
caused by the tears of failure and subdued by pain
A dream that floats among the optimism of ones imagination
fantasy’s surrounded by the minds deliberate creation
What is a dream when what follows the dream is emptiness
left by the feeling of the complicated desires to achieve happiness
dreams filled with fairy tells of what life could be
but the reality is clouded by what we want to see
What is a dream when dreams don’t seem to satisfy our desire
making one second guess their Path and being left in a crossfire
Struggling between the feeling of Failure and the want to succeed
Being left without a place to bring us peace, is that not what we need
So what is a Dream? Well its what we call Hope
keeps us climbing so we don’t continue down a slippery slope
they Bring comfort to a life that would feel otherwise trapped
in a realm where good always feels attacked.
A dream is for those who need to hold onto a better tomorrow
for the person who is tired of drowning and suffocating in sorrow
So don’t forget that tomorrow can bring you on step closer to your dream
for suffering the let down of a dream just leaves the opposite end of that extreme
