Afraid of the Dark

As evening looms, louder than light;
Ceding to the darkness, charging the night.
 
 
To enter this arena, need only be of age;
Stature no matter, for time is the wage.
 
 
Without a sound, it’s presence becomes known;
It’s what you can’t see, that which is shown.
 
 
So close your eyes, and grant the day it’s release;
There is nothing here to fear, it’s just the sun at peace.
