Burning Desire
I’m the one that believes, in the small of a woman’s back. I’m the one that believes, that you can speak, by turning your back. And I am the one that believes, you can cry without shedding a tear; and I am the one that believes, you can be stark naked, yet cloaked in fear. I believe, in the sound of a butterfly’s wings. And I believe in the science of spirituality. And I believe we can heal. And I believe, in honor. And in compassion. And love. And I believe, we can do better. And I believe we will. And I am the one that believes, sometimes it hurts. And I’m the one that believes in the healing power of laughter. And I am the one that believes, luck is no coincidence. And I believe, in the search for tomorrow. And I believe I will find it. I believe, these States to be United. Because I believe, in you. And I believe this, to be true. I believe, I can have another; and I believe, it is like no other. Because I believe in my brothers, and in the love of my Mother. I am the one that believes, that time is a tool, and that the heart can rule. I am the one that believes, that it can be done; and when it is all said and done, we will be the ones that have won. I don’t even need, to know your name; to believe that together, we can touch, the texture of a flame.
