'Humble to the Sea"

Kari, I don't know if this is a song, but here ya' go...

I was welcomed by it’s din, though escorted by the night;
The tremors that coursed through me, just an inkling of it’s might.
 
To try and gauge it’s power, to any understanding at all;
Imagining the force, of a wave as high as I am tall.
 
The surf bellowed with a crash, but it’s thunder that came to mind;
Always imitated, but never captured, is the sound that you will find.
 
I would not cede to it’s attempts, to reach and draw me in;
I was amusingly reminded, of a child that has to win.
 
Though I couldn’t see it all, I reflected on the impression that it made on me;
And as I walked along the shore, I hoped that I remained, humble to the sea.

The first time I went to church, there was a concert and "Mass" broke out...
