I’m Your Guy

a self portrait

I can instantly acquire, what you really don’t need;
A very bad idea, I will always plant that seed.

Doing the dirt, that you’re unwilling to do;
Exposing to the world, a darker side of you.

Yet alone with myself, is when I’m most sad;
It’s when I’m forced to acknowledge, the chances I’ve had

I grow surly and mean, but you’ll never know;
This part of my shame, that continues to grow.

What you may think, is a very broad smile;
Is the back of my throat, burning with bile.

Always ready to go, for you, in a flash;
I’m forever your guy, that is, 'til I crash.
