Christmas 2020– Lockdown!

Merry Christmas!

For Christmas this year,
I shall paint my fat face!

I can do that you know.

A clown,
A queen,
A tiger,
A bear.
I might just do my eyes,
Put some gel in my hair.
I might have big red lips,
Wear some lenses, a wig.

I can do that you know.

And I wont give a fig,
About anyone thinking,
Bad thoughts of the old fat gay man,
Sitting drinking,
Champagne.
Eating chocolates,
Sipping cocktails,

Alone.

I can do that you know.

No tight pants, or a corset,
It’s not drag.
It’s not drastic,
It’s all comfortable troos with a waistband elastic.
Or a kaftan,
Fantastic!

I’ll sing praise to the imaginary skypixie born,
In a far distant universe,
On that far xmas morn.
For gifting the multiverse, the elastic waistband.
As I sit here
And eat.
And expand.
And EXPAND!

Alone.

And for this year, for once, it’s the right thing to do,
So I dont catch the virus getting friend hugs from you.
Or from dipping my paws in the shared chocolate tin or from sipping the wrong glass of sherry,
Again!

Like Dietrich I’ll ACT.
Stay away from you all,
keep a good social distance,
Like on on Sue Vega’s wall.

I am mindful of those who may not have a voice,
For who, lonely this christmas, doesn’t feel like a choice.
Being human it does of course make me feel sad,
But I wont let that own me,
Cos it’s not my bad!
I will own my own happiness so my life’s not poo.
And I strongly suggest that’s what you should do too.
