TODAY I FEEL THE HEAVINESS OF MY BLOOD

Today I cannot find the inspiration
to express myself
positively and fluently over the paper.
Today the night came early,
        the darkness is vast,
and I crave for sunlight.
Today I feel the moral density that the pandemic
         has emotionally infected
        people infected or not.
Today my positive spirits are dormant,
and I hope that humanity will emerge
         victoriously and joyfully
         from this pandemic.
Today I am wearing a face mask,
and I am in synchrony with the struggle
         humanity is having
         to survive.

Today my forty-six years weigh on me
Today my body weighs
Today my soul weighs
Today my morale weighs on me
Today I feel the heaviness of my blood

Don't stop the culture
Do not stop sports
Do not stop the infatuation
         of the young
Do not stop life

And when we are resurrected,
When morale has been rejuvenated.
When human science is victorious
When the children stop being scared
When the phoenix has risen from the ashes

We have to
Reassess
Rethink
And execute
A better evolution

Steering the future of human life
Planning the future of the children
Reconciling with the environment

Today I feel the heaviness of my blood
