An old man's warning
I remember when I was your
age.
A little boy who dreamed of
growing up.
Don’t worry, child. That day is
gonna come.
I should warn you, though.
Becoming a man isn’t all it’s
cooked up to be.
At the age you are, the world
looks easy.
But, I’ve learned the hard way.
You should know how lucky
you are.
I wish I could see the world the
way you do.
Sweet, innocent, and safe.
But, I’ve learned the hard way.
By growing old.
