Smile and wave

Fly through a wall,
and land in a river.
Feel the ray of the sun,
and respond with a
shiver.

You don’t know the
ocean well, so you don’t
put your hand in.
Walk into the dresser
drawer, and let the rocks
begin.

You have nothing,
but you don’t have fire on
your feet.
Smile and wave to
the worms, as they’re the
ones who made you.

Dive into a box,
and come out looking like a
bunny. See the girl who has
nothing on her face, and
laugh like something’s funny.

You don’t know the sky well,
so you don’t put your tongue
in.
Step into the closet’s mirror,
and feel the stones
again.

You have nothing,
but you don’t have ice in
your pocket.
Smile and wave to
the monkeys, for they’re the
ones who started you.
