Feelings
Getting crazy, getting wild,
Can’t crack a smile,
Head is shaking, back and forth.
Feeling dizzy, don’t know what I am worth?
Don’t even know why I’m on this earth.
All I know is my mother gave me birth.
I’m sitting here crying like a child,
Lord, help me crack a smile,
Feet begin stomping up and down,
Don’t know why I am around,
Will I make the trip to heaven above?,
If, I give in to peace and love?
Hands begin to sweat,
Body’s getting wet,
Hair is standing straight up,
Have to ask, “Brain stop!”
Thoughts entering and speeding out,
Still wondering what this is about,
Emotions running high,
Just want to shout!
Oh, Lord in heaven, send help to me,
Rise up your hand, set me free.
For my spirit I send to you,
I feel better again, no longer blue.
Though secrets exist, temptations resist,
I look inwards and find,
Nothing has been left behind,
All that I need,
I have indeed!
Rise again anew!
It’s really you,
Oh, blessed child of God.
