Our Memories.

Leaving me alone,
Falling in my own grief,
Playing back all of our memories.

Sitting on the stairs,
I wish you were still there,
Right by my side,
I’m playing back all of our memories tonight.

I still see your smile,
Even if its been a while,
Since I’ve been in your embrace,
I can still see your face.

I remember your laugh,
You always had a joke,
Keep everyone smiling,
We’d laughed until we had choked.

Now all I choke on are my tears,
This was my worst fear,
That you’d leave me,
Though I never thought it would be permanently.

I still remember your caring way,
Always being kind,
Giving to the poor,
You were perfect in my mind.

Beautiful and pretty,
But now you’ve left me,
And I’m drowning in my grief,
Playing back all of our memories.

(2014)

I just got sad so I wrote this poem about someone very dear to me that passed away a very long time ago...
