GLIDER
Being rattled by the
world of materialism
and illusoriness
when the phantom
of my past
pops up like
the magic toy’s
mustached king’s face
I fall back on my
loads of memory sacks
and open them
like pandora’s box
to reinvent my talent
hither to kept at bay
from public eye
and my own hawk’s eye
that I could
paint Mona Lisa
as Leonardo da vinci
and portray Cleopatra’s
two faces
of enticing and
disillusioning
countless Caesars and Antonys
refuting the clamour
stop women harassment
bring legislation
empower them
little knowing
that no legislation
did empower
Goddess Durga
to maul Mahisasura.
