Tranquility

As a storm rages within my soul
My mind screams out through it all
Curiousity inscribes itself on my heart
As confusion wraps around me like a scarf
Our safety and very existence is on the line
I try and speak out
But fear sews my mouth shut
As I try to escape from my damned chains
Life finally makes its last move
Destroying me on the very spot
The last of me curls up
I attempt to make the world stop spinning
But I’ve given up everything within me
