Safety in the Shallows

Beyond the realms of twin blue strips,
Lay the vast and deep darkness,
Above the sky’s bottom and below the ocean’s surface,
While the vast darkness above would blow me,
From lack of any pressure,
The deep darkness below would crush me,
From tonnes of tremendous pressure,

Savage is the infinite darkness above,
And brutal is the deep darkness below,
Vast and deep as the darkness,
Both above and below, is my ignorance,
And as narrow and shallow as the shores,
Is my shallow knowledge,
That’s why, I chose to remain at the shore,
Cos,  I find safety in the shallows!
