KING FRANKINCENSE, KING MYRRH, KING GOLD

Prologue: In honor of the holiday season, I am inspired to write my own little holiday story. Hope you like it!

Oh boy! Octavian who was no longer Octavian, for he took another name, as only be fitting Of a newly crowned Emperor Of a new an Imperial Rome! Oh, this was An August Occasion, An August Moment in time and history. So Isn’t the name Augustus, Emperor of Rome Indeed Most be fitting? Has really a nice ring to it don’t you think?

After all he was the heir Of noble Julius Caesar! The 1 who wanted to be in the Imperial seat that he is in now. He wanted to be Emperor of the world. But the opposition of the ruling families And nobles Of Rome, who were for the Old system of the republic, Were such a horrible bunch. To be honest he wasn’t exactly sure Which side he was  on at the beginning. Both arguments seem to be valid when you think about it. But then again, it was so many steps set wrong.

This business with the rebellion of Ptolemy, then the Mutual Besotted Love affair of Cleopatra and Julius themselves. And if that wasn’t enough then the assassination of Caesar, The repeat of A besotted love affair, but this time with Mark Anthony and Cleopatra. And then rebellion  Against Rome, courtesy of Mark Anthony and Cleopatra. But even before that, the hunting down of all the conspirators that Assassinated Julius  Caesar! And then Cleopatra’s grand suicide. Then last but not least, having to quell all Rebellions And petty uprisings. Finally making Egypt once and for all the bread basket for all of Rome. Perhaps even of Other conquered territories.  All such a bloody, boring, business. And expensive! And so newly minted Augustus Caesar will cause the world to be taxed! The known world under his control. And known authority. And because of all of these goings on, A newly married couple from the east Who are expecting A little blessed event, (vast understatement there), Was on the move....
