THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF YOUNG FUTURE KING DAVID’S FIRST 6 1/4 YEARS OF HIS YOUNG LIFE. AS TOLD BEFORE IN PREVIOUS TEXT HE WAS BEING TRAINED BY AN OLDER FORMER WARRIOR SOLDIER OF ISRAEL. CALLED BEN THE BENJAMITE. FROM 3YRS. TO HIS CURRENT 6 YRS. OF AGE, HE WAS TUTORED AND DRILLED RELENTLESSLY ON USING STONE, SLING AND SHEPHERDS STAFF AS WEAPONS. DEADLY EXTENSIONS OF HIS OWN 2 ARMS.

THESE LESSONS WERE GIVEN AND TAKEN WITH DEADLY SERIOUSNESS, FOR HIS LIFE AND THE LIVES OF HIS FATHER’S FLOCKS WOULD DEPEND ON IT. HE COULD SLING STONES AT LARGE TO MINIMALLY SMALL TARGET’S WITH DEADLY ACCURACY! SOMETIMES, JUST OUT OF PREVENTION OF BOREDOM OR TO ADD ON TO HIS SKILLS, HE WOULD PICK UP STONES OF VARIOUS SIZES. HE WOULD CHIP ON AND AT THEM TO GIVE THEM VARIOUS SHAPES, FOR AERODYNAMICS. OR FOR PIERCING POTENTIAL FLESH.

THEN BEN  WOULD DRILL HIM ON HOW TO GRAB A STONE, ROCK OR EVEN A BIT OF DRIED UP WOOD/TREE LIMB. FROM ANY PLACE, ANY POSITION, USING ANY ARM! ONE AT A TIME, OR SIMULTANEOUSLY!!! A HUMAN ADVERSARY OR 4 LEGGED ONE DIDN’T CARE, WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE ARMED. YOU USE ANYTHING AT YOUR DISPOSAL! ANY MEANS! ANYTIME ANYPLACE, ANYWHERE, WHEN PUT OPUN... YOUR DUTY AS A HEBREW IS TO SAVE LIFE AND LIMB, AND PRESERVE YOURSELF. THEN KING, KIN & COUNTRY; NOT NECESSARILY IN THAT ORDER...

The same training that David Was introduced to, was the same training that was going on all over the known world of that time. Even in certain cultures the girls were taught to use slings as defense against being raped or taken into slavery. They were the 1st weapons that you  could actually call Militia Artillery. Every army of that time, that ever had a army, had a core of Slingers. And everybody, practically, whether they were a swordsman, spearman, bowman or whatever, they had to train with a sling as a backup weapon. And they were deadly accurate And devastating In the hands of even mediocre sling men or women.

There would be added little Accoutrements to the balls that they would use to sling with. Some of them would be iron between bits of spiky glass or any other material that can do the most damage. Sometimes it would be a wooden missile, with Something nasty rubbed on it, that could cause a bad Reaction to your flesh. Disease, Allergic irritation, Poison, the possibilities were endless. And some people came up with things on their own! Some cultures developed a sling that was fire repellent, so they could put fire pellet missiles in their sling and fire them off like fire arrows! You only were limited by your imagination. I looked at a documentary on YouTube as research for this writing.  And they said that the most deadly Slingers in the history of using a sling, where the army Corp Of Carthage under the General’s Hansdrubal and Hannibal. They were brothers As well as the military commanders of the Empire of Carthage, fighting against Rome. Using elephants and expert sling Fighters. Carthage was way after David’s time. But he trained like A Carthaginian under Ben. Under Ben the Benjamite, Little David was lethal and deadly accurate with his sling. By the time he finishes his training at the age of 7, he was the most deadly sling boy of his age, and even some of the adults. This was the beginning of his Old  Testament Legendary Saga. He would Come to be known as The young shepherd boy, Who would kill the bear and the lion. And Eventually a Giant Philistine Named Goliath Of Gath!....
