Disguise

To everyone who enjoys it

The mask I wear, it covers me tonight. I swear I will not show myself in the light. With this veil, you hardly know  I’m not the same. Secrets are upon me, you don’t know my real name. Thou shall not uncover this face. Thy fate is at risk near me in this place. Ugly things hide behind this mask. The things that I’ve done, my horrible past. As I wander and wonder with these secrets all safe, I  am beginning to drain my faith.

(2014)

This poem is a poem about someone that is too afraid to escape their past.
