The hunger games

To America

Your eyes. The fear. It is consuming you. Don’t think about it. They’ll pick someone else.
Then, they draw your name. You almost have a heart attack. You are swaying uneasily like a boat on the waves. The people, the food. Soon you start to forget your nightmare. But then, in what seems like such a short time, a countdown. The worst part. You rock back and forth on your feet. Your toes are moving anxiously. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Blood. Crimson blood. Splattering on the grass. You run. You hide. No time to hesitate. Suddenly, you stop. Pain. Tremendous pain whispers in your ear. Travels to your heart. You pull an arrow out of your chest and fall to the ground.

I am only trying to write a poem that made it like I experienced the real thing. By the way, you need to see all the hunger games movies and books.
