I have a special place, I go there now and then
Where beauty explodes and my mind pretends
I can think of the past and see what can be
A place to be alone, made for only me
My mind wanders hopelessly the flowers talk
Clouds shine like the sun, stars made of rocks
My magic carpet waits to whisk me away
I fly around endlessly, day after day

I even thought about sharing with a friend
I’m sure they wouldn’t see all that I do
Like the sky is green and the grass is blue
Rabbits fly and birds hop
A place where my mind won’t stop
When I’m there, pure happiness I feel
You might think it’s silly, to me it’s real
I wish I had a friend to climb on board
I’d take right off like a supped up Ford
You’d see the clouds of yellow and the dark stars
We’d drink a glass of wine while heading to mars
And we’d jump over moonbeams way into the night
Kiss among the flowers, while standing on the light
I’d show you all the wonders that I can see
You’ll start pretending just like me
To share my special place now and then
Hope that you’ll want to come back again
We can bounce the stars from the sky
Grab meters as they fly
Change night into day
Skip along the Milky Way
Free your mind and just feel good
In my special place is where we could
Be yourself and feel carefree
