Not A Goodbye

I’ll fight for you till my very last breath, until I feel that chill on my neck, and that cold touch of death.
And as my vision begins to blur, and I see my life flash before my eyes, there will be no feelings of hate, or even despise.
For I know we lived a good life, there’s not a thing that I would change, the only thing that gets me though, was being so far away.
As my words begin to slur, and all my thoughts begin to fade, I want to apologize for leaving this Earth, with you behind to stay.
There is one thing you should know, that there wasn’t a day that passed, were you weren’t on my mind, oh our memories together, how they last.
Now I refuse to say goodbye to you, because a goodbye is to difficult to say, because goodbyes are forever, and forever is not where I’ll stay.
So instead I love you with all of my heart, and I promise we will be together again, in a different form, far away.
