I still remember you in that dress, and me by your side trying to look my best .
You were so damn beautiful, with those deep brown eyes and hair .
I have never been happier, then when I was standing there .
And though it wasn’t ours, but was your sisters wedding day .
I still see you as my wife, and I will always feel that way .
But time marches on, wedding plans get set aside .
I’ll say it doesn’t matter anymore, that is if you want a lie?
Sometimes people still ask me if we’ll ever set a date?
I tell them with the business and the house, we both decided too wait .
Then I’ll change the subject, and I hope that they don’t see?
That the thought of you as my wife, still means the world too me .
Yea sometimes I’ll look at this picture, close my eyes and dream the day was ours .
I’ve prayed for this so many nights, I’ve even wished upon the stars .
I don’t know what is that happened, or just how it came too be?
But I’m sorry for what ever I’ve done,
That changed your plans with me .
