People Told Me
People told me, but I did not listen…
At the end I ended up missing…
A lot of things in my life,
Because of hardships and strife.
People told me right from wrong.
They kept singing the same old song.
As they played it over and over again…
I thought that I should of listened.
People told me about what I did,
The mistakes I continuously made as a kid…
And I sat there crying looking around…
And also down at the ground.
People said I would not make it…
Sitting there, I just would take it…
But now I am HAPPY and not alone,
I am able to smile and sing my own song!
