Love unfolds

By Khushi S.

Have I ever been in love?
Or have I always been in love with the idea of being in love?
when the person aligns with the interlaced prophecy in the depths of my yearning heart,
We paint portraits, a work of art.
In whispers of love, we  toss the probability of love, when the image aligns with who the person actually is, it’s like things workout and there’s magic.
But when the mask begins to fade,
And truth’s gentle light begins to cascade,
The image shatters, everytime the nuance  has matched the interlaced surface, I’ve loved, I’ve loved them.
Yet when expectations clash with what’s true, I’ve rebelled?
This feeling is relentless and doomed
but I’ve always loved the doomed mess,
It feels like home.
As Homer has quoted,
Any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.
