Another Disappointment
I can’t believe you claimed you were different
the smile on your face that somehow seemed to glisten
and my heart instantly began to listen
A warm rouge wave that I could not control
my heart made decisions on its own
without my consent
before I knew it, the boy that claimed the characteristics of a man
became another disappointment
you could say I was anxiously waiting
for the natural ambition of a male to begin
i curiously told myself to reward you with a chance
then tear sized feelings began to evolve
a revolution of real i believed
until my feelings got thrown into a wall full force ahead into the future
my heart slowed, stomach lowed when you’d been discovered
the real you
another disappointment in a world full of lies
my tender touch, this tender love
you could do without
a pace that was moving to fast, I knew wouldn’t last
I see this is the end to something that never should have been
another disappointment
love has fled and I don’t care where
chance after chance I’ve given you
affection under cover I displayed to you
yet your lies seemed to cloud my judgment
I cant say im surprised that you were surprised at all I knew and heard
now someone I don’t know has risen
you’ve turned into the one page chapter
that goes unnoticed and irrelevant to a story
another disappointment
that’s all you are
nothing more nothing less.
