It’s not that I’m sad
Though I am
It’s not that I’m discouraged
Though I am
It soaks deeper
You can’t just wipe it off
It bleeds through to my bones
To my core
My brain’s not working
Although maybe it is
And this is how it copes
With what life heaps on
How many have to suffer
For people to understand
Ignorance and stigma
Make this disease worse
I could be an ambassador
But I’m too sick and tired
