#Haiku
we don’t know who he said he was we came from curiosity and stayed for the inhumanity
little lies, seeds of thyme shallow-rooted, often sewn cover the largest stone yet a tree springs from a single seed
I saw their faces as clearly as if… on their stones beneath their name… heard their voices in the trees whose roots go deep into their dus… and into the dust of this Island
crickets and brittle leaves empty seed pods scurrying in the heavy scent of autumn
(Based on the fact that 95% of household dust is our own skin cel… flakes of me circling in the sunli… bits of you lying on the bureau gather them in a beaker
death is absence of thought - zen how can we be afraid of something we cannot live to experience? it’s life that is frightening
see them standing in glass houses clutching stones of fear anxiety suits and shoes boots and jeans makeup and hair powdered and perfumed
SHIPBOARD last night from starless skies a t… stunned and shaken, seeking shelte… from unfamiliar shipboard lights I watched it falter with wings out…
Snowflakes or fireflies Beneath an oval moon Do I wake or dream?
the silence of colour palette of fall reflected on water white birch trees granite rocks
come sit beneath my branches and read to me from dead poets for I am old all texture and symmetry a conspiracy of cocoons
Time for a pit stop Half face in rear view mirror Road unwound behind
In the lamplight leaf shadows break on the ragged edges of my heart
a cold moon filters down through the purple asters no explorers have returned with caterpillar robes and dandelion gold
I am a tree beside the water my ancient roots run deep and wide in Mother Earth as one body dies
