I watch the horizon for a change.
As the suns light goes out of range.
Listening to the sound of the breeze.
While it coasts through the trees.

I hear a howl a few miles north of me.
Luckily that’s not where i am heading to be.
Listening to my footsteps up this hill.
Looking for a place to rest and chill.

I find a resting place for the night.
I wake up to the breaking morning light.
Pack up and take off again towards the west.
For my permanent homesteading nest.

I walk until I hit the coast to find that gold.
I am going off just what I have been told.
But I am dreaming big and taking a risk or two.
This is who I am. Who are you?
