Betrayal

When faith is shaken, rent asunder,
Made a Judas unwitting,
Honor so callously carelessly taken,
What punishment is fitting?

Did you betray, for profit
Did you do it for pleasure?
Or because you saw me as
Below your measure?

I will carry on, dishonored,
reclaim what was unwittingly lost,
Knowing you profit and take much pride,
While it is mine to pay the cost..

All the while, God sees.
He sees and remembers.
