the bully

must we play this game everyday
dragged down to the floor with your own self image,
your lonely egos frail apparel
is that cloak you’ve woven from your own pain,

its like being back at school, I had bully’s there also
they took me on an introspective journey,
but there’s no relent from you
you’re a dog with a bone

is your life so dire and grim
that you cultivate happiness from others sorrow,
you smile with a glee that resembles to me
only a head shake, an allusion to a mystery,

you draw out a sadness in me
that I thought long since dead,
like a juggernaut your parade hits me
in earshot of others for reassuring giggles,

you betray yourself with your own smile
a bully who erodes with constant verbal annoyance,
if you were a radio I could tune you out
if you were a radio I could turn your volume down,
