Cried by the fireplace.
Dried blood on ripped skinny jeans.
Mon Cheri.

circling and edging
teasing
charged but shy
electric wires wrapped in rubber sleeves
lightning tucked in cotton wool

A hill climbed every day
just having my tea first
sweet nothings underneath climbing frames
caged hearts with beating wings
flutterbys
a tent on a damp summer night
upside down
but in the right place -
we still are
