Shambles

Shambles:
They hold my life together.
I’m shredded into slices,
Trying to hold it whole,
And I wonder if anyone
Sees me struggling.

Darkness:
The light of day,
The air in my chest
Is sealed and absent.
Pumping breath seems frivolous,
And I bet I’m just another fish
Fighting to swim up the current.

Lost:
That’s me,
And that’s us,
And the world
Because everyone is just screaming
Into tissues
Because we realized life wasn’t worth
The fight.
