That Night

Discover yourself

She opened her eyes. The first thing she noticed was how sunny it was. She had missed school. Again. Then she felt the throbbing pain on her right wrist. Ahh, I remember now, she thought. Last night. Possibly one of the lowest nights in her life.
That night.
The night she thought of how imperfect she was. The night she cut. She didn’t want to go to school. She hated the helpless feeling she continually felt while there. She was tired. She had gone to sleep at 3am. Again.
That night.
The night she had observed many perfect looking girls, with as much money as they could spend. The night she found out she was poor. The night she knew she’d never be one of those girls.
That night.
The night, always coming back to haunt her. The night giving her continuous goose bumps, running along her arms and sending shivers down her spine.
That night.
The night that changed her life forever. The night she found out who she really was, what she really was. The night she’d never, ever forget.
That night.
The night she discovered that even in her imperfection’s, even in her flaws, she was herself.
And that’s all that mattered.
That night.
