WHEN SADNESS CONSUMES
I needed to see what life was like behind a cloud of sadness, suffering and pain
I needed to see what life is like when strangely people search and look for rain
I needed to see that though my help is always given true
Some people may see me as the enemy, change, they will never follow through
It’s a strength to learn some people need to be left to all their sorrow
For they will drain your energy, theirs is gone, so they will borrow
I’ve said it every way I could, dumbed down, scientific or spiritually in tune
But my words went in the one ear, out the other, to the air inside the room
It’s something I cannot grasp so well, this urge to live in hell
How can one be in so much fear, happiness has not one crevice it can dwell
Well Jesus said dust your feet off keep going on your path
So I’ll help the ones who want the help, the rest are out of my grasp
