On the Lake
ancient towns with all new people
destruction, at its best
my regard for the human race
has never been less
the ignorance, selfishness,
arrogance, stupidity
this change in society
something I never thought I’d see
these people don’t deserve the sun
and definitly not the rain
they only see the surface beauty
not the underlying pain
the rocks, the dirt
the foundation of this earth
where has the earth gone
where has the foundation gone
where have the genuine
beautiful people gone
the sun is out, but all is gray
my mind is snowing on a sultry day
