Life Of The Dark
Hiding in the shadows at such a young age;
under beds, in corners, beneath the floor
and above our heads-convinced there are
monsters out for food, our souls and hearts.
Each person is different but as children we
are scared of one another because some come
victims to abuse, loneliness, or love.
Each child scared of the dark, unknown, and silence.
Each person hiding in the shadows, life of the dark,
only to find another person.
