Bright April
Earth
Begins
To unsettle
Shedding away
Its winter wears
Groggy as a bear
Waking up
From
Hibernation
Hustle
Bustle
Rustle
In the rotting leaves
Left over
From
Fall
And
winter
Everything now
Beginning to
Become unthawed
Like a jar of Mamma’s homemade jelly
Transferred
From freezer
To fridge
To counter top.
Seasons are a cycle
That never stop
Stop
Backtrack
Where was I at
Ahh
Yes
The winter
Cycling
Into Spring
Everything
Becoming
Unthawed
From the winter
Ahh,
Yes
Spring
And the beauty
Which it brings
Not as cold
or as bitter
As winter
But
Cooler
Than summer
Just.
Right
Where
Bare feet
on concrete
Doesn’t have
Your feet
Sizzlin’
Like bacon.
It’s the time of season
Where Mother Earth
Gives birth
to her children
Fall is decay
Winter is death
Spring is birth
While in Summer
You linger
In transition
Oh
The beauty
Of
Spring
Everything
So
Fresh
And abundant
The robins
With their bright
Fiery
Orange breast
Return home
To rest
Roost,
And
Construct
Their wiry nest
Of twigs and branches
High above
In the tops
Of apple trees
Keeping their children
Safe from harms way.
Away
From their enemies
Who view them as tasty prey
The tenants below
Are
Busy
Bumbling
Buzzing
Bees
Gathering
Pollen
From
Apple blossoms
Produced by the fruit of the tree.
Every
Living
Thing
In
Harmony
In
Rebirth
In
Transition
seasons are continous cycles
Oh, how I long for Spring
And the beauty
Which it brings
