I Dreamed, I Dreamed Of An Escape.
I dreamed, I dreamed of an escape.
From the trappings of horrid tribulations,
Rack with the endless surmountable of strife.
I dreamed of a place, to leave this pretentious world.
To a fantasy that was like reality, but beyond.
It was home near a deep crevasse,
With a beautiful river full of trout of all kinds.
Place was surrounded by high and low grass,
Treated by the horses that is owned to keep the grasses, low.
Further on, forests on both sides,
On one side, beyond the other part of the deep crevasse,
Deep thick forest of conifers and pines,
As it was on the homestead’s side.
Day and night you can hear the wild creatures,
The bears, wolves, and honeybadgers.
Birds of all kinds grasped the air,
Singing on all sides to behold for my ears to listen.
The wild, at night especially are heard yet far,
the horses are put away for their protection
awaiting for the day of running about and tend to their habits.
Once and awhile the bears, wolves, and honeybadgers would stare,
At the homestead that was so readily prepared,
They knew it was well protected so that only their eyes beamed,
for awhile to know who was there at a moment’s notice.
I dreamed, I dreamed of this escape.
Where the garden near the homestead, was so well planted.
No rabbits nor even gophers could touch, but as well glance at a garden so tantalizing.
Seasons came and gone, the months and years, pass by,
Yet always I linger with this dream.
Hoping to light up the homestead a fire and as well a grand light for the porch outside,
For that my protection was well-lit to kept warm and dry.
My dream was making anything my heart desired.
Carpentry, husbandry, and writings that all hoped for and awaited their time.
So that the comfort within and without was just fantasy,
that I could always hope to comeback and love until my dying day.
It will be long forgotten, living in solace,
but only the warmth of contentment, that would hope one day, become into fruition.
I dreamed.
