The Misfortunate Guide

To the misfortunate guide,
Whose heart and mind has not abide.
What has made thee show no regard,
With a person, who is always on guard.

From the drought of thought,
They will fear with naught.
For me to walk against the crowd,
Never to be heard out aloud.

How the guide must feel,
That they blindly have such zeal.
For the time has come, nevermore be a dread,
That any thought of you will be in my head.

I would never blindly follow or lead,
Who rather believe in those who mislead.
Never should you think everyone desires,
Which in my mind will not transpire.

Oh, how the days do dwindle,
My mind and heart will not rekindle.
Never to allow that poor misfortunate guide,
Will have a good heart or mind, because of their pride.
