Misconceptions of a Person’s Propensity

In the theater of minds, a play unfolds,
Where biases dance, their stories untold.
A character steps forth, their actions revealed,
Yet veiled in our judgments, our own truth concealed.

The disposition we see, a fragile thread,
Woven many times from its past, our dread.
We label, we categorize, we assume,
Forgetting that mirrors reflect back our own gloom.

The adventurer becomes reckless, wild and free,
While the cautious soul is labeled as meek.
The artist, a dreamer lost in hues,
The scientist, a seeker of cold, hard truths.

But what if we paused, rewound the scene,
Peered beyond the curtain, the bias unseen?
What if we recognized our own flawed view,
And allowed empathy’s light to shine through?

For in the kaleidoscope of human hearts,
Propensities blend, intersect, and depart.
Each soul a symphony, notes in harmony,
Yet discordant judgments blind us, all will see.

So let us uncloud the lens, wipe away the mist,
Embrace the complexity, the shades that exist.
For in understanding others, we find our own grace,
And misconceptions dissolve, leaving room for space.
