My Sacred heart

*My sacred heart*

I hear your voice
While I know you are so far,
For a tiny moment,
I am where you are.

Wishing to magically transport,
Swept up as a beam,
Flickering particles of light,
Ricochet off a satellite
Impossible as it may seem.

Closing my eyes,
Too stubborn to pray
I am.......
Cajoling, begging, bribing,
Whoever is there
To put me with you.

Tightly condense my love
Which is all that I am,
To a touchstone
Nestling in your pocket.

The smooth, thumb rubbed surface
Shining over depths of flickering mica.
The weight of it, reassuring
Always reminding of
My passion for you.

I do not belong to the disposable world
Of bottomless wanting
Of instant gratification
I belong only
To you.

This I wrote during a long distance relationship. There is no more divine ache than introduced by miles. The title has everything to do with the tattoo on my chest.
