...life is a work of art in progress... cope well as you age...
Anything goes in creativity. Yes there will be those who believe they can intellectually dissect it. Worse criticize the creative. Is there a place in it to question its creation? Possibly. The artist explaining it? Futile. As anything goes expect the public interpretations to be infinite, perhaps informed and maybe uninformed. Even transcending the artist’s passion.
Hmm... could be the choice of the frame is not right– the material off, color too, out of scale, rococo. And so on and on...
Let it be that someone created something. Beautiful or ugly art has taken its place, born out of love and care. Take it like you would a favorite dish – nourishing or leave it like you would a bad dish – nauseating.
Like you do in a museum you step closer to an art work or step back farther– muse and muse some more. Digest as much as you can. Savor. Maybe it appealed to you possibly not. And you move to the next frame.
You move on.
Appreciate or not it’s all your experience... you were touched one way or the other by the art work like when you are affected by the things that surround you in your daily life. You adjust. You cope. You adapt. Find your place in the reality in front of you. From the people around you. The perspective you see. You assess, begin to be creative.
An artist in you emerges. You become a crazy kid again.
And that artist – bless his soul – is smiling. Like a flowering plant surely will continue to bloom. And cope well. Age well.
