Last to stay

The last to stay
I’m in my window staring
At the darkness dissolve in dawn
And u say
This is how you’re gone
I hear my sighs disappear
In the stillness of the moment
My years break down on my cheeks to make space for new arrivals
And I think of how you’re gone
I will grow older And will become a mother
Trouble will haunt me, age will get me
I’ll see ugly things you will be spared from and will be hurt from many you don’t have to put up with
I will fall and rise, rise and fall
Cry and laugh some million times
For many days I will not think of you
But once I do, I’ll find you so youn and talk
Spared from agony saved from it all
No hints of age highlighting your hair
No trace of gone years on your face
I’ll come to you and I long
For staying forever young
