Wild flowers

Wild flowers
In a vase
Tightly held
The narrow neck design
Working well
To hold in place
Captured blossoms
Now but ornament
To please
Till wither robs the glow
And drooped and drained
We let them go
No applause for what they gave
The rubbish heap their grave
We notice not the buds within
Life still clinging to hope so thin
We discard so easily
What was once so pretty
Ironic gestures
Deserve no pity………………….
