To my beloved brother
It still feels like yesterday,
Though it has been 14 years,
I still see you in my dreams and I long to see you.
I still ask myself why me and I can never have my answer,
I was 11 years old, I was very young,
I still cannot believe you are gone, you were my heart,
And you will forever be in my heart.
Even today I have not accepted your death,
Why did you have to go,
God should have gave us a chance to get to know one another,
My heart is still torn apart,
I still love you and I love you more than I did when I was 11 years old.
I still tell everyone that we are the fantastic four,3 brothers and 1 girl,
And you know why, because you still exist in my heart.
No matter where life takes me, wherever I go
You are always with me, I carry you in my spirit,
In my heart you will forever live.
And I will tell my unborn children about you one day.
I will honour your memories and if my first born is a boy,
I will name him after you, Daniel.
The mighty Daniel, my brother.
May your beautiful soul continue to rest in peace,
I know one day our path will cross.
We are born for a purpose and we live according to the Lord’s plan,
And then when the chapter is over, the Lord takes what belongs to him.
He took you so soon but who am I to question Him?
I’m just a servant of the Lord.
