I own lonely nights on the road to nowhere and everywhere
Cars fill a cold silence for a second as they go
Bright lights and cat eyes loom in the dark as i lie low
They’re orange and yellow
In your park, the stars just aren’t what i look too
Streetlights and the rooftop highs are my omen
I feel chosen
Pavements look like red carpets when i walk these streets
I’m feeling famous, i’m feeling emotional
Thin branches branch out when i’m strolling but my mind keeps on rolling
My thoughts start unfolding, my deepest secrets are hidden in the signs
I know them too well
Raindrops on the swingset, the breeze is low but my fear feels windswept
I grew up in this town
I own lonely nights on the road to nowhere and everywhere
