We have tendencies
to be self destructive
and it was only ever our fault,
yours and mine
and we were never okay.
We were always together
and we were never alright
but that was fine,
that was fine,
and maybe we cared more
than is necessary.
I can’t help but hurt
when you look the other way
and we are alone
and we are not okay.
We have shattered
and there are pieces,
prices,
and it is on the ground
but we are lying to ourselves
and the words they say are broken
and so are we.
