Don’t you know
that I tried my best
to capture exuberance of life
in my breast.

Hope defined,
lay still in mind,
I fight my good fight,
life refined.

What becomes
of friends and good drives,
ones who accomplish,
a life with good strife?

The best of good thought,
champagne personality!
The worst of life fought
with companionate reality!

Hopes that I still kindle,
hopes that bade me forevemore.
Keep myself from wistful dwindle,
keep myself on virtuous shores
