order seas

and as the shopping gets to heavy to hold
you find someone to lay it on and smooth the jelly
pulling the crust off could make it bleed
yolk don’t mix well with it, you comprehend
that the sea gulls land on the moon at noon
and no one knows any different, they think they
are floating on the ocean, far away eating bugs
as they continue to count to three on a flea
wiping their nose on the one the other left
in Kansas as they open the drawer and read
about the color of the heart leaking out
the galaxy watching you listening to the wolves
the shooing of the fly from your nose
brings the smell of the rose, in to light
as it dances on the saddle of the silver one
and as we hang the notes on Jimmy Dean’s hat
the ship did sail on that awful terrible day
the day in Wales when the shores did sail
and leaving their boats behind, they drifted a bay
with out any way
